This afternoon brought surprises-triplets!! Our sheep aren't supposed to start lambing until February, but apparently the rams got out a little early!! When hubby came in this afternoon, he told us we had one in labor. Next thing we knew, there were three. Hubby and I were going out for supper, so dd took care of most of the situation! She did a good job. She brought the tiniest of the three in to feed it and get it warmed up. She milked the ewe and was able to get 5 oz of colostrum in her belly! We've returned her to momma, hopefully that will go well. Otherwise, she sleeps in the bathroom across from our bedroom and we get woke up in the middle of the night!
